This leads to cost reduction, a high sustainability factor and you avoid connection problems due to grid congestion: you can still build or expand despite the overloaded power grid.

Achieve your goals
100% sustainable
The energy system becomes truly sustainable because effectively no more heat is made with electricity that comes from gas and coal plants. This can be done with direct use of our own sustainable PV generation or control of heat pump production at times when the generation in the Netherlands is 100% sustainable (and nice bonus that prices are low then). Finally, it prevents many social costs in enlarging our power grid.

Cooling
The heat pump combined with the water in the storage can be used to produce cooling in the summer, with the residual value released by this effectively stored in the storage. With this, there is cheap heat.
